Stewards spoke to Mr R. Boyce the trainer of Stealthy Mover regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Stealthy Mover last raced on 9 April 2018 and is returning after a spell.
A pre-race sample was taken from Ethan Zane.
Ruby’s Rosa was slow to begin.
Kip Moss and Ruby’s Rosa collided approaching the first turn checking Kip Moss. Ethan Zane and Stealthy Mover collided on the first turn, Ethan Zane raced wide as a result. Why Not Fletch raced wide approaching the home turn checking Run Maggie Run. Balmoral Bash checked off Why Not Fletch on the home turn. Maniac Matilda and Balmoral Bash collided on the home turn. Maniac Matilda, Why Not Fletch and Balmoral Bash collided on the home turn checking Maniac Matilda, Balmoral Bash and Run Maggie Run. Ethan Zane raced wide in the home straight.
Why Not Fletch was vetted and re-vetted following event 11. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mr L. Carter, the trainer of the greyhound Why Not Fletch. Stewards deemed the performance of Why Not Fletch unsatisfactory in this event and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Stewards directed that Why Not Fletch must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
