Crackerjack Des was quick to begin. Honey Road was slow to begin.
Lights Of Tanjil and Mammoth collided soon after the start, checking Banknote. Lights Of Tanjil and Bob's Brew collided several times approaching the home turn. Lights Of Tanjil raced wide on the home turn and in the home straight, and cramped, stumbled and fell approaching the winning post.
Miracle Gem was vetted following the event subsequent to a fall in the catching pen. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a carpal sprain to the left wrist. A 14-day stand down period was imposed.
Lights Of Tanjil was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained cramping and an injury to the right long head triceps (monkey) muscle. A ten-day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr Trevor Whitford, the trainer of the greyhound Lights Of Tanjil. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
