Steward's Report
Pius Thicknesse and Tankalicious were slow to begin.
Pius Thicknesse, Tankalicious and I'm Circus collided soon after the start. Bakali Louis and Henessey Venom collided on the first turn, checking Bakali Louis. You Aussie checked off Laile Brobio approaching the home turn. Knocker's Gold checked off You Aussie approaching the home turn checking Plus Thicknesse. Bakali Louis eased in the home straight.
Stewards spoke to Ms M Shaw, the handler of the greyhound Bakali Louis regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Bakali Louis was vetted following the event and re vetted following race 7. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right thigh, a 10 day stand down period was imposed. Acting under GAR 69(B)(1), the stewards charged Bakali Louis with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms Shaw pleaded guilty to the charge, Bakali Louis was found guilty and stewards directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a), before any future nomination will be accepted.
