Steward's Report

Dyna Carnie was slow to begin.  Go Seek Fernando and Sisco Ride collided soon after the start.  Slingshot Hammer and Lucy's Milo collided soon after the start.  Lucy's Milo and Dyna Carnie collided on the first turn.  Dyna Carnie galloped on the heels of Sisco Ride on the first turn.  Slingshot Hammer checked off Dazzling Bling on the second turn.  Sisco Ride faltered on the second turn and tailed off.

Sisco Ride was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injuries to the right deltoid, right trezius and right pencil muscle, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Galea, Trainer of Sisco Ride regarding the greyhound's performance in this event.  Stewards questioned Mr Galea regarding the injury sustained at Sandown on the 16th of May (14 day stand down), and the preparation of the greyhound leading into tonight’s event. Mr Galea stated he worked on the injury himself and trialled Sisco Ride at Geelong where it ran 25:90 over 460m, which was to his satisfaction. Due to this, Mr Galea believed the greyhound was fit to compete in tonight’s event. Stewards accepted Mr Galea’s explanation regarding Sisco Ride’s preparation, however deemed tonight’s performance unsatisfactory, and acting in accordance with GAR 71, Sisco Ride must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
