A pre-race sample was taken from One Step Ahead.
My Hardaway Hana was slow to begin.
Sable Sass crossed to the rails soon after the start colliding with My Hardaway Hana. Ugo Girl, Sable Sass, Amy Amour, Saint David and Buddy Blinx collided approaching the first turn checking Saint David. Ugo Girl and Sable Sass collided on the first turn. Amy Amour contacted the running rail on the first turn. One Step Ahead clipped the heels of Ima Rebel on the first turn causing One Step Ahead to fall in turn severely checking Buddy Blinx, Ugo Girl and Saint David.
One Step Ahead underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
