Hadarah Bale and Zipping Atticus were quick to begin.  Spot On Mick went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (5l).

The placings were incorrectly semaphored and subsequently corrected to 7-2-6-3 prior to "all clear" being given.

Stewards questioned Trainer, Mr Paul Bartolo, regarding the withdrawal of King Gristle in this Event.  Mr Bartolo advised Stewards that the greyhound was diagnosed with kennel cough and currently being treated by Dr. M. Bell.  Stewards were satisfied with the explanation of Mr Bartolo.

Manitoba and Yoppi Allen were quick to begin.  Magpie Robbie was slow to begin.  Fairytale Ending and Lana Bale collided soon after the start.  Fairytale Ending. Lana Bale and Magpie Robbie collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Figure Eight, Royal Jebrynah and Figure Eight collided on the first turn.  Lana Bale and Road Side Assist collided on the home turn. 

Lana Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound to the left fore paw.  No stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Kadalex Kid. 

Another Bling was quick to begin.  Kadalex Kid and Dyna Quail collided on the first turn.  Shellbrook and Kadalex Kid collided on the first turn.  Kadalex Kid checked off Shellbrook on the second turn.  Another Bling and Kadalex Kid collided entering the back straight.  Frosty Snowman checked off Shellbrook in the back straight.

A pre-race sample was taken from Blue Fabianna.

My Hardaway Hana was slow to begin.

Sable Sass crossed to the rails soon after the start colliding with My Hardaway Hana.  Ugo Girl, Sable Sass, Amy Amour, Saint David and Buddy Blinx collided approaching the first turn checking Saint David.  Ugo Girl and Sable Sass collided on the first turn.  Amy Amour contacted the running rail on the first turn.  One Step Ahead clipped the heels of Ima Rebel on the first turn causing One Step Ahead to fall in turn severely checking Buddy Blinx, Ugo Girl and Saint David.

One Step Ahead underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a left monkey muscle injury.  A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Say Hi was a late withdrawal at 2.08pm acting on veterinary advice after Dr D Siu reported the greyhound to have a lacerated right dew claw.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Flowing.

Winsome Express was quick to begin.  Moresby was slow to begin.

Winsome Expess and Dyna Helena collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Winsome Express.  Kiss Me Razley and Moresby collided on the third turn.  Wilbury and Flowing collided on the home turn.

Dyna Wink - Late scratching at 11.45am due to the greyhound not being presented by the required kennelling time (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs A Dailly was fined $100.  Stewards spoke to the Kennel Representatives and the Trainer of Dyna Wink - Mrs A Dailly, and were advised they had omitted to scratch the greyhound which was reported to be suffering from kennel cough.  The fine and stand down period will remain standing until a veterinary certificate of clearance is furnished to Stewards and GRV.

Blue Hazard went up with the lids at box rise and was very slow to begin (3L).  Hook Along Fyler was slow to begin.

Our Magic Turbo and Fab Bourbski collided on the first turn checking Hook Along Fyler.  Hook Along Fyler and Milo Allen collided on the third turn checking Hook Along Fyler.  Hook Along Fyler and Blue Hazard collided on the home turn.

Blue Hazard underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a laceration to the right wrist  No stand down period was imposed.

Tiger Dusty and Dyna Waqa collided approaching the first turn.  Queena Bale and Zipping Magda collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking Queena Bale.  Tiger Dusty checked off Dyna Waqa on the first turn.  Queena Bale and Galaxy Blaster collideded on the first turn checking Galaxy Blaster.  Galaxy Blaster checked off Gin Lee's Dream approaching the second turn.

A pre-race sample was taken from Streak Ahead.

Major Bourbski, Dyna Zaylee and Streak Ahead collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Major Bourbski checked off Streak Ahead approaching the second turn colliding with Dyna Zaylee;  Dyna Zaylee was severely checked as a result.
