Yakima – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing after being on season.

Nella Bale was quick to begin. Yakima was slow to begin. Dyna Xarvel and Dyna Darius collided soon after the start. Magic Octagon, Dyna Xarvel and Dyna Darius collided approaching the first turn checking Magic Octagon and Dyna Darius. Magic Octagon checked off Dyna Darius on the first turn. Nella Bale checked off Crown Simba on the first turn and collided with Queena Bale checking both greyhounds which raced wide as a result. Magic Octagon checked off Queena Bale on the second turn. Crown Simba and Yakima collided approaching the home turn. Yakima, Dyna Darius and Crown Simba collided on the home turn checking Crown Simba.

Crown Simba underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

A pre race sample was taken from One Step Forward.

Dyna Unther, Milo Allen, Western Envoy and Divya Bale collided approaching the first turn checking Divya Bale and severely checking Western Envoy and Milo Allen. One Step Forward and Dyna Unther collided on the first turn checking One Step Forward and Zipping Magda. Zipping Magda and One Step Forward collided approaching the second turn checking One Step Forward which stumbled.

Living Daylights and Spandau Ballet collided soon after the start checking Living Daylights. Whitehart Magic and Jacobite Joseph collided soon after the start checking Jacobite Joseph. Living Daylights and Spandau Ballet collided on the first turn checking Living Daylights. Spandau Ballet brushed the running rail approaching the fourth turn.

Jacobite Joseph underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left calf muscle. A 5 day stand period was imposed.

The start of this event was delayed 1 minute due to the late arrival of the greyhounds at the boxes.

Chill Out Webby was slow to begin. Headspace, Mepunga Molly and Dyna Yezza collided soon after the start. Kraken Lightning, Dyna Yezza, Mepunga Molly and Headspace collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Yezza. Belt Up Bubbs, Mepunga Molly and Headspace collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Molly. Headspace and Mepunga Molly collided approaching the second turn checking both greyhounds. 

Zelzer Allen crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Buy Me Diamonds and Zipping Dion. Buy Me Diamonds, Zipping Dion, Dyna Uni, Star Hunter and Head Banger collided approaching the first turn checking Star Hunter, Dyna Uni and Buy Me Diamonds. Dyna Uni and But Me Diamonds collided approaching the first turn checking Dyna Uni. Zelzer Allen checked off Foxzami Muzza on the first turn. Head Banger and Uringa collided approaching the second turn and on the second turn. Zipping Dion, Dyna Uni and Star Hunter collided on the home turn and entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds. Zipping Dion marred the running of Star Hunter in the home straight.

Zipping Dion underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the right calf muscle . A 5 day stand down period was imposed. 

Stewards spoke to Mrs H. Collins representative of Zipping Dion regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Zipping Dion was charged with marring. Mrs Collins pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Dion is suspended for 28 days at The Meadows and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Rockstar Steffi checked off Dyna Bonnay approaching the first turn. Rockstar Steffi, Max Tractor and Dyna Smokey collided on the first turn checking Rockstart Steffi and Max Tractor. Reiko Ablett checked off Dyna Smokey on the first turn and collided with Max Tractor checking both greyhounds. Rockstar Steffi and Callum's Son collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.

Sharp Diamond, Dyna Chancer and Apex Within were slow to begin. Apex Within and Ask Me Now collided on the first turn. Dyna Chancer and Sharp Diamond collided on the first turn. Dyna Chancer galloped on the heels of Apex Within on the first turn. Apex Within checked off Ask Me Now in the front straight. Ella Enchanted checked off Kanzan on the second turn. Apex Within and Dyna Chancer collided on the second turn. Ella Enchanted and Connor Allen collided approaching the winning post.

Trainer Mr P. Galea was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Cindeen Jates pursuant to GAR 33.
