Mr V. Tullio was fined $50 for failing to ensure the registration card was produced for the greyhound Collecting pursuant to GAR 33.
Jaguar Jessie was slow to begin.
Sonic Lauryn and Collecting collided soon after the start. Tee Tee crossed in soon after the start checking Yuken Win and Rik Kee. Sonic Lauryn and Flying Sorcha collided approaching the first turn. Collecting, Flying Sorcha and Yuken Win collided on the first turn checking Yuken Win. Collecting and Flying Sorcha collided approaching the second turn. Jaguar Jessie marred Sonic Lauryn on the second turn through to the home turn. Sonic Lauryn, Jaguar Jessie and Yuken Win collided in the back straight. Sonic Lauryn turned its head to the inside and made contact with Jaguar Jessie in the home straight.
Sonic Lauryn underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr P. Reinders the trainer of Sonic Lauryn. Taking into consideration that Sonic Lauryn was marred continually by Jaguar Jessie for approximately 250 metres resulting in both greyhounds being tailed off 36 lengths. Stewards issued a warning regarding Sonic Lauryn's racing manners in the home straight.
Jaguar Jessie underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
Stewards spoke to Mr D. McKenzie, the representative of Jaguar Jessie regarding the greyhounds racing manners from the second turn through to the home turn. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Jaguar Jessie was charged with marring. Mr McKenzie pleaded guilty to the charge, Jaguar Jessie is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
