Waging War, Reiko Boss and Lightning Blast collided approaching the first turn and again on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Cawbourne Terry contacted the running rail on the second turn. Gladiator and Cawbourne Terry collided on the third turn checking both greyhounds. Lightning Blast checked off Waging War on the third turn. Gladiator and Cawbourne Terry collided approaching the home turn checking Cawbourne Terry, In The Clear and Waging War. Cawbourne Terry and In The Clear collided entering the home straight. Cawbourne Terry and Reiko Boss collided in the home straight.
Cawbourne Terry underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
