Steward's Report
New Samsation and Raine Allen were slow to begin.
Valencia Gem crossed to rail soon after the start checking Blistering Betty, Okay Kirsty, Mimstar and New Samsation. New Samsation and Mimstar collided approaching the first turn. Dyna Alexia and Kiss Me Nicki collided on the first turn. Mimstar checked off New Samsation entering the back straight. Okay Kirsty eased and tailed off in the back straight. Mimstar checked off New Samsation approaching the home turn. Kiss Me Nicki and Blistering Betty collided entering the home straight.
Okay Kirsty underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right deltoid and left triangle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr R. Floyd, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the back straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Okay Kirsty was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr Floyd pleaded not guilty to the charge, Okay Kirsty was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
