Steward's Report
Mepunga Spectre and Western Envoy were slow to begin.
Western Envoy and One Step Forward collided soon after the start. One Step Forward, Muzzle Welsh and Zipping Magda collided on the first turn severely checking One Step Forward, Zipping Murphy, Muzzle Welsh and Mepunga Spectre causing Muzzle Welsh and Mepunga Spectre to stumble. Zipping Murphy and One Step Forward collided on the third turn.
Muzzle Welsh underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have injuries to both triangle muscles. A 21 day stand down period was imposed.
Mepunga Spectre underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
