Steward's Report
Kiomara – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a fractured left fibula.
Cosmic Chieftain and Romany Girl were quick to begin.
Kiomara checked off Belleperi Miss approaching the first turn. Romany Girl checked off Cosmic Chieftain on the first turn. Belleperi Miss and Soda King collided on the second turn checking Soda King. Cosmic Chieftain and Soda King collided approaching the home turn checking Cosmic Chieftain. Cosmic Chieftain and Kiomara collided on the home turn checking Whiney Whine and severely Cosmic Chieftain and Kiomara causing Cosmic Chieftain to lose ground.
Cosmic Chieftain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Sergeant Schultz - winner of the event.
