Strike Me Down and Santana collided soon after the start.  Jaguar Jessie and Maximus collided soon after the start.  Jaguar Jessie checked off Blondie Locks on the first turn and collided with Rosie Reigns.  Strike Me Down checked off Rosie Reigns approaching the second turn.  Santana faltered in the back straight and subsequently pulled up.  

Santana underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a dislocated right hock. A 90 stand down period was imposed.

Flash Spolly and Spolly Smasher collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Over Talking and Inter Lana collided on the first turn.  Fab Senorita checked off Over Talking on the home turn.  Flojo Mikado and Flash Spolly raced wide on the home turn causing Spolly Smasher to race wide.  Over Talking and Inter Lana collided approaching the winning post.

Fast Talker, Mt. View Gift, Navy Storm and Miss Zok Dee were slow to begin.

Paw Licious checked off Shaun John and Just Faith soon after the start.  Shaun John and Just Faith collided approaching the first turn checking Just Faith.  Shaun John and Weeping Angel collided on the first turn checking Shaun John.  Fast Talker, Paw Licious, Navy Storm and Miss Zok Dee collided on the first turn checking Miss Zok Dee and severely checking Paw Licious, Navy Storm and Mt. View Gift.  Paw Licious and Navy Storm collided on the home turn checking Mt. View Gift.

Alonso Power and Molly Spolly collided soon after the start.  Alonso Power checked off Iona Misty approaching the first turn.  Ernie's Legacy and Big Bubbles collided on the first turn checking Big Bubbles, Miss Dozer and Alonso Power.  Ernie's Legacy raced wide in the home straight.

Creative Playboy and Flying Moss collided soon after the start checking both greyhounds.  Sunita Lass and Royal Jebrynah collided soon after the start.  Brandy Mandy, Creative Playboy and Flying Moss collided approaching the first turn checking Creative Playboy.  Flying Moss crossed in approaching the first turn checking Kiranna Blue, Brandy Mandy and Creative Playboy.  Kiranna Blue and Brandy Mandy collided on the first turn checking Brandy Mandy, Creative Playboy and Royal Jebrynah.  Kiranna Blue and Sunita Lass collided approaching the second turn checking Sunita Lass and Flashy De Goey.  Kiranna Blue and Flashy De Goey collided on the third turn checking Flashy De Goey.  Brandy Mandy checked off Flashy De Goey approaching the home turn.

Kiomara – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a fractured left fibula.

Cosmic Chieftain and Romany Girl were quick to begin.

Kiomara checked off Belleperi Miss approaching the first turn.  Romany Girl checked off Cosmic Chieftain on the first turn.  Belleperi Miss and Soda King collided on the second turn checking Soda King.  Cosmic Chieftain and Soda King collided approaching the home turn checking Cosmic Chieftain.  Cosmic Chieftain and Kiomara collided on the home turn checking Whiney Whine and severely Cosmic Chieftain and Kiomara causing Cosmic Chieftain to lose ground.  

Cosmic Chieftain underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back muscle injury. A 60 stand down period was imposed.

Dyna Owen crossed to the rail approaching the first turn.  Holly's Affair and Kel Knight collided on the first turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr G. Burns the handler of Layback Cruiser regarding boxing his greyhound first and to be mindful of other dogs and trainers when stepping back. Mr Burns stated that the greyhound caused his back to jar while boxing and when he stood up be became unbalanced. Stewards excepted Mr Burns’ explanation. 

Mahjong World and Allen Gerwen were slow to begin.

Ishmy Girl and Riviera Cruz collided approaching the home turn.  Ishmy Girl checked off Flying Danger entering the home straight checking Riviera Cruz.

Let's Roll was quick to begin.

Ishmy Lady, Big Bella and Chillin collided soon after the start checking Big Bella and Chillin.  Polo Pete and Let's Roll collided on the first turn.  Ishmy Lady checked off Aston Samson on the first turn checking She Got Fire.  She Got Fire galloped on Ishmy Barry in the home straight.

Problem Solved, Red Queen and Shotgun Shiloh were quick to begin.  Water Pistol, Rum Dum and Busy Bella were slow to begin.

Rum Dum and Lord Davinci collided approaching the first turn.  Water Pistol checked off Lord Davinci on the first turn.  Red Queen and Lord Davinci collided on the first turn and again approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds.  Busy Bella and Shotgun Shiloh collided approaching the home turn checking Shotgun Shiloh.  Problem Solved raced wide on the home turn.  Lord Davinci checked off Red Queen on the home turn.  Rum Dum and Busy Bella collided approaching the winning post.

John's Choice was quick to begin.  Mini Fernando was slow to begin.

Brindle Ninja, Rosta Power and Gappy Hilmore collided approaching the first turn checking Brindle Ninja.  Mini Fernando checked off Mini Tron on the first turn.  Why Not Hugh, John's Choice and Phillip Keeping collided approaching the home turn checking John's Choice and Phillip Keeping.  John's Choice checked off Phillip Keeping entering the home straight checking Mini Tron and causing John's Choice and Mini Tron to race wide.

Turn Him Around and Voluptuous Blue were slow to begin.

Voluptuous Dot, Luna Evening and Tuiaki Dora collided approaching the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Kalani Amy and Silvagni Cubed collided on the first turn.  Turn Him Around and Voluptuous Blue collided approaching the home turn causing Turn Him Around to raced wide.  Voluptuous Dot raced wide on the home turn.

Silvagni Cubed underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.

MEETING COMMENTS:

The following Greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trail took place over 311mtrs with 3 required to trial. The winning time of trial was 18.22:             

Redhead Chez finished 1st, Capricious finished 3rd, Cosmic Magic finished 4th.

Capricious – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a left back muscle injury.  Weighing 33.6kgs and beginning from box 1 beaten by 4 ½ lengths. Capricious has been cleared to race. 

Redhead Chez – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a change of trainer.  Weighing 32.5kgs and beginning from box 6 winning by 2 lengths. Redhead Chez has been cleared to race. 

Cosmic Magic – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a right hock injury and seasonal spell.  Weighing 32.1kgs and beginning from box 8 beaten by 8 ¾ lengths. Cosmic Magic has been not cleared to race due to performance time.
