Equals Two and Bastian Bale were slow to begin.
Equals Two, Bastian Bale and Akuma Fireball collided on the first turn checking Equals Two, Bastian Bale, Akuma Fireball and Lektra Fireball. Absolute Scenes checked off Bastian Bale approaching the home turn. Akuma Fireball checked off Lektra Fireball approaching the home turn. Bastian Bale eased in the home straight.
Akuma Fireball underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left wrist and monkey muscle. A 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Bastian Bale underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have an injury to the left back muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to trainer Mr. S Collyer, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight .Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Bastian Bale was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr S. Collyer Trainer pleaded not guilty to the charge, Bastian Bale was found guilty and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks)pursuant toGAR 69(B)(1)(a)before any future nomination will be accepted.
