Pacific Coast, Let's Roll and Princess Spolly were quick to begin. Kiwi Swagger and Princess Spolly collided soon after the start checking Kiwi Swagger. Muza's Angel and Kiwi Swagger collided approaching the first turn checking Muza's Angel. Pacific Coast checked off Let's Roll on the first turn. Muza's Angel checked off Just Talking on the first turn. Kiwi Swagger and Regal Duke collided approaching the home turn checking Muza's Angel, Kiwi Swagger and Regal Duke, causing Muza's Angel to race wide. Pacific Coast checked off Princess Spolly in the home straight checking Fran Keeping.
