Steward's Report
Blur and Mr. Frost were slow to begin. Blur, Bluegrass Icon and Aston Tobin collided on the first turn checking Aurora Miss, Uprising, Blur and Bluegrass Icon. Mr. Frost eased and collided with Speckie McKean in the home straight.
Mr. Frost underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to handler Ms. Melissa Fullerton, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mr. Frost was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Fullerton pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Frost must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Aston Tobin, winner of the event.
