Stewards spoke to owner Mr. J. Vandemaat regarding the late scratching of Plain Name who stated that upon checking the greyhound overnight he found him to be lethargic and suffering from diarrhoea. 

Kraken Risky was slow to begin. Hardaway George, Rival Natalie and Moyarra Whiz collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds. Kraken Risky raced wide on the home turn.

Steel Magnolia and Level Neville were slow to begin. Front Page News and Sprite Halo collided on the first turn checking Front Page News. Front Page News raced wide approaching the home turn checking Steel Magnolia and Sprite Halo.

Don's Machine underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a slow recovery. A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Blur and Mr. Frost were slow to begin. Blur, Bluegrass Icon and Aston Tobin collided on the first turn checking Aurora Miss, Uprising, Blur and Bluegrass Icon. Mr. Frost eased and collided with Speckie McKean in the home straight.

Mr. Frost underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right triangle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to handler Ms. Melissa Fullerton, regarding the greyhounds racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Mr. Frost was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Ms. Fullerton pleaded guilty to the charge, Mr. Frost must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Crackerjack Nev was slow to begin. Kraken Doll and Rothwell Gal collided on the first turn checking Rothwell Gal, Aston Ledger and Crackerjack Nev. Aston Zoro – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to left stopper tendon injury. Weighing 30.8kg and beginning from box 3, Aston Zoro completed the trial in a time of 22.62. Aston Zoro placed 1st in a field of 4 winning by 4.5L. Aston Zoro has been cleared.

Gazza's Pick – Was stood down from racing at Shepparton for turning in the boxes. Weighing 33.9kg and beginning from box 8, placed fourth in a field of four, beaten by 5.5L. Gazza's Pick has been cleared.
