Mortadella and Kinloch Breeze collided soon after the start and again approaching the first turn, checking both greyhounds.  Hello Goodnight checked off Barunga Bullet on the first turn.  Serendipity Star and Kendra Vegas collided on the first turn, checking Serendipity Star.  Barunga Bullet eased approaching the home turn, checking Hello Goodnight.  Mortadella raced wide approaching the home turn, checking Kinloch Breeze.  Barunga Bullet galloped on the heels of Kendra Vegas entering the home straight, checking Barunga Bullet.  Barunga Bullet and Kendra Vegas collided in the home straight and again approaching the winning post, checking both greyhounds.

Barunga Bullet underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have right foreleg shoulder joint and right hindleg triangle injuries, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr Garry Selkrig regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the home turn.  Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Barunga Bullet was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Selkrig pleaded guilty to the charge, Barunga Bullet must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
