Secret Package – Not raced for in excess of 3 months and is returning to racing from a spell.
Anise and Almapa Berisha were slow to begin.
Anise crossed to the outside soon after the start and raced wide for the remainder of the event. Wayne's Way and Sam I'm Mikado collided soon after the start. Sam I'm Mikado, Rockin' Rosco and Secret Package collided soon after the start. Wayne's Way and Sam I'm Mikado collided approaching the 250m mark checking both greyhounds. Sam I'm Mikado checked off Secret Package at the 250m mark checking Wayne's Way. Almapa Berisha and Solar Charge collided at the 250m mark causing Almapa Berisha to contact the running rail. Rockin' Rosco and Wayne's Way collided at the 250m mark.
A post-race sample was taken from Secret Package - the winner of the event.
Almapa Berisha underwent a post-race veterinary examination and no apparent injury could be detected.
