Steward's Report
The outside temperature prior to this event was 29.5 degrees, the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to this event when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.7 degrees.
Destini Cowboy and Cheeky Chimp were slow to begin. Schusta, Cherokee Shimmer and Seabrook Indi collided soon after the start checking Cherokee Shimmer. Destini Cowboy and Seabrook Indi collided on the first turn checking Seabrook Indi which collided with Cherokee Shimmer. Destini Cowboy and Cheeky Chimp collided approaching the home turn checking Destini Cowboy. Cheeky Chimp stumbled entering the home straight.

During kennelling Stewards conducted a carpark check on all trainers’ vehicles engaged in today’s event. Stewards were satisfied that all trailers had adhered to the hot weather transport policy.
