Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from He Shall Johnny.
Whip Allen was quick to begin.
Saint West and Sky Wesley collided soon after the start. Full Tilt crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Winsome Express, He Shall Johnny and Come On Charlize. Saint West checked off Sky Wesley on the first turn. He Shall Johnny and Winsome Express collided approaching the second turn. He Shall Johnny checked off Winsome Express on the second turn checking Come On Charlize and Sky Wesley. Sky Wesley and Come On Charlize collided approaching the home turn. Royal Solo checked off Full Tilt in the home straight.
Sky Wesley underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have left and right deltoid injuries. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Meeting Comments:
Stewards recommenced an inquiry into the scratching of "Raine Allen" from the Ballarat Greyhound Racing Club meeting on 13/03/2019. Mr Grenfell was directed via phone to present the greyhound to the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club meeting tonight (14/03/219) to confirm the details of the injury which was given to stewards via phone at Ballarat. On Track Veterinarian Dr. N Nagaich confirmed the details of the injury given to stewards on 13/03/2019. Mr Grenfell submitted that he was of the opinion he scratched "Raine Allen" due to injury well before scratching time Ballarat, however he did not confirm the greyhound had been taken out of the field.
Mr Grenfell pleaded guilty to a charge under 86(o) in that he negligently failed to scratch the greyhound "Raine Allen" from its engagement at Ballarat on 13/03/2019 and was fined $100. Stewards took into account that Mr Grenfell presented the greyhound at the track the following day, where the injury which was originally stated, was confirmed.
