Hit 'N' Split was quick to begin. Myrniong Cosmo, Wakiki Creek and Perfect Rider collided soon after the start. On Billy's Wings, Broulee Miss and Oshkosh Jay collided on the first turn. Broulee Miss and Perfect Rider collided on the first turn checking Perfect Rider. Myniong Cosmo and Waikiki Creek collided on the home turn.
Perfect Rider underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right back injury. A 28 day stand down period was imposed.
