Steward's Report

Tim Tam Sam - Late scratching at 10:20am on the advice of the On-Track Veterinarian due to dehydration. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. 

Pursuant to GAR 104(7), Steward Ms D. Barber did not act in any official capacity for this event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Lost Horizon.

Just Talking and Run Fast Bonnie collided soon after the start. Matilda Mikado, Just Talking and Run Fast Bonnie collided at the 300m mark. Super Panda, Matilda Mikado, Just Talking, Run Fast Bonnie and Lost Horizon collided at the 250m mark. Super Panda and Matilda Mikado collided at the 200m mark. Super Panda failed to pursue the lure with due commitment and eased at the 150m mark. Super Panda, Matilda Mikado and Lost Horizon collided several times from the 100m mark to approaching the winning post.

Lost Horizon underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right chest injury and punctured webbing on the right hindleg. A 14 stand down period was imposed.

Super Panda underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a right toe injury/abrasion, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.  Stewards spoke to trainer, Mr A. Richardson, regarding the greyhounds racing manners at the 150m mark. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(B)(1), Super Panda was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury).  Mr Richardson pleaded guilty to the charge, Super Panda must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) pursuant to GAR 69(B)(1)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
