Steward's Report
An Out of Competition Sample was taken from Zipping Dion engaged in this event on 5 March 2019 pursuant to GAR 79A.
A pre-race sample was taken from Sabjorn Bale.
Busy Bella, Calfuray and Lektra Miss were quick to begin.
Unexplainable and Zipping Dion collided approaching the first turn. Busy Bella, Calfuray, Lektra Miss, Unexplainable and Zipping Dion collided on the first turn severely checking Trim City, Sabjorn Bale, Unexplainable and Zipping Dion, checking Inga Tom; causing Lektra Miss to fall, Unexplainable and Zipping Dion stumbled and lost considerable ground as a result. Trim City and Sabjorn Bale collided on the home turn.
Lektra Miss was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left thigh injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Unexplainable was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hind tibia/fibula, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
