Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mrs M. Height the representative of the greyhound Federal Express regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Federal Express last raced on 3rd August, 2018. Mrs. Height stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.
A pre-race sample was taken from Federal Express.
Brandeen Fi was slow to begin. Federal Express, Belleperi Miss and Burning Steel collided soon after the start checking Federal Express which tailed off. Miss Gippsland and Belleperi Miss collided approaching the first turn. Ball Bearing and Sweet Spolly collided on the first turn. Miss Gippsland and Belleperi Miss collided on the first turn checking Miss Gippsland. Ball Bearing and Sweet Spolly collided approaching the home turn. Miss Gippsland, Burning Steel and Sweet Spolly collided on the home turn.
Federal Express was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left monkey muscle injury, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
