Steward's Report
Stewards spoke to Mr. B. Pursell the trainer of Rippin' Sam regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Rippin' Sam last raced on 16/09/18. Mr. Pursell stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a sesamoid injury. Mr. Pursell declared a new weight of 35.3kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Rippin' Sam last raced at 33.7kg.
A pre-race sample was taken from Equilibrium.
Hot Tip was quick to begin. Midnight Mystery was slow to begin. Rippin' Sam faltered approaching the first turn and subsequently tailed off.
Rippin' Sam was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injured left wrist, left triangle muscle and bruising around left the calf, a 14 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards directed a sample be taken.
A sample was taken from Dyna Chancer - winner of the event.
A sample was taken from Boom Down - second placegetter in the event.
