Steward's Report
This meeting is deemed heat affected with the hot weather policy enforced. At the start of kennelling the outside temperature was 33 degrees (on track weather station), the kennel temperature was 18.1 degrees.
The outside temperature at race start time was 37 degrees (on track weather station), the inside kennel temperature immediately prior to the race when the greyhounds were retrieved was 18.2 degrees.
Cloona Reward shifted out soon after the start and collided with Betty Bowl. Cee Magic and Inga Lina collided soon after the start. Wendell Allen, Cee Sprite and Muza's Gift collided approaching the first turn checking Cee Sprite and Muza's Gift. Cee Sprite and Inga Lina collided on the first turn, checking Cee Sprite. Betty Bowl raced wide on the home turn. Cee Magic and Wendell Allen collided in the home straight checking Wendell Allen. Muza's Gift checked off Wendell Allen approaching the winning post.
Betty Bowl was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained left shoulder joint and left quadriceps muscle injuries, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
