Steward's Report
At 7.40pm, prior to the running of Race 2, the on-course temperature was 41 degrees Celsius. Acting in accordance with the GRV Hot Weather Policy, Stewards postponed race 2 indefinitely and monitored the on-course temperature. At 8.25pm the on-course temperature remained at 41 degrees Celsius and Stewards, in consultation with Club officials, made the decision to abandon the remainder of the race meeting due to extreme heat.
