Steward's Report
19 January, 2019.
Stewards today spoke to the trainer of Leica Cali King, Mr A Paraskevas regarding the scratching of the greyhound from this event. Mr Paraskevas reported that the greyhound was suffering from a stopper bone injury. Mr Paraskevas agreed to a request by Stewards acting under GAR 23(3), to present the greyhound at the Sandown GRC meeting on 20/1/2019 to be examined by GRV Chief Veterinarian Dr S Karamatic.

Mr A Paraskevas presented the greyhound Leica Cali King at The Sandown GRC for examination as requested GAR 23(3). As a result of the examination, Stewards have requested Mr Paraskevas to provide further information regarding the greyhounds recent veterinary treatment for the Stopper Bone injury.
Jet Blaster was slow to begin.
Down Mexico Way and Hooked On You collided soon after the start. Down Mexico Way and Startron collided approaching the 300m mark. Jet Blaster crossed to the outside at the 300m mark, checking Ryben Jack. Jet Blaster, Ryben Jack and Down Mexico Way collided at the 250m mark. Down Mexico Way checked off Jet Blaster approaching the 200m mark and again at the 50m mark.
