Steward's Report
Emgee Sprinter was slow to begin.
Golden Shiraz, Rocket Jax, Go Pies and Jerra Lilly collided on the first turn, checking Golden Shiraz and severely checking Rocket Jax and Go Pies. Jerra Lilly, Lightning Seven and Our Flying Kenny collided on the first turn, severely checking Lightning Seven and Our Flying Kenny. Rocket Jax and Go Pies collided several times on the first turn and again approaching the home turn, checking Rocket Jax. Lighting Seven contacted the running rail on the home turn.
Lightning Seven was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained swelling over the left lumbar muscle. A 3 day stand down period was imposed. After viewing the video footage, stewards were satisfied that Lightning Seven shifted out on the first turn as a result of colliding with Our Flying Kenny, and as such no action was taken against the greyhound's racing manners.
