This meeting was deemed 'Hot Weather Affected' in accordance with the GRV hot weather policy.
Prior to the running of this event the outside temperature was recorded at 22 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17 degrees.
Nana Denise was quick to begin. Too Easy Jack was slow to begin.
Too Easy Jack contacted the running rail on the first run. Nana Denise, Mr. Vinnie and Sacre Bleu collided on the first turn, checking Nana Denise and Bullet Proof Ace. Crying Paw and Mr. Vinnie collided approaching the home turn, checking Crying Paw, Nana Denise and Bullet Proof Ace. Nana Denise and Bullet Proof Ace collided on the home turn. Double Birdy and Too Easy Jack collided entering the home straight.
Too Easy Jack was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a laceration and bruising to the left hind leg. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.
