Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Tuiaki Dora upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Mr K Kelly, trainer of Dorothy Dawn declared a new weight of 28.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dorothy Dawn last raced at 26.2kgs and is returning to racing after a let up.
Texas Blaze was slow to begin.
Pyrenees Acclaim, Belena Bold and Solar On collided soon after the start checking Belena Bold and Solar On. Tuiaki Dora and Zenstar collided approaching the first turn checking Tuiaki Dora, Zenstar, Belena Bold and Solar On. Dorothy Dawn, Zenstar and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn checking Dorothy Dawn, Zenstar, Tuiaki Dora, Texas Blaze and Solar On.
Meeting Comments:
Mr. G. Gledhill was issued a severe reprimand pursuant to GAR 86(o) after he negligently presented a greyhound at kenneling which was not required to race. In assessing penatly, Stewards took into consideration that Mr. Gledhill had presented all his other greyhounds engaged in today's meeting correctly.
Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr L Green, the trainer of Double Cross regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced. Double Cross last raced on 13th June 2018. Mr Green stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Double Cross trialled over the 390m from box 7, weight 34.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18L. Double Cross was Not Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - Rail Remover trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 35.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3L. Rail Remover was Cleared.
Satisfactory Trial Results - She's Got Bounce trialled over the 390m from box 5, weight 27.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1L. She's Got Bounce was Not Cleared.
