A pre-race sample was unable to be taken from Cougar Icon upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling. A post-race sample was subsequently taken. 

Aston Axel, Where's Success and Cougar Icon were quick to begin.

Tuxedo Flyer and Honey Eclipse collided soon after the start. Tuxedo Flyer, Honey Eclipse, Serendipity Star and Mr Fabulous collided approaching the first turn checking all four greyhounds. Tuxedo Flyer and Mr Fabulous collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Honey Eclipse and Mr Fabulous collided entering the home straight. Mr Fabulous checked off Honey Eclipse approaching the winning post.

Villa Maldini and Lil Black Jess were slow to begin.

Villa Maldini and Lil Black Jess collided soon after the start. Aunty Chris, Winlock Shakey and Don's Noisey collided approaching the first turn checking Winlock Shakey and Sight Screen. Aunty Chris checked off Sky Rising on the first turn. Winlock Shakey and Lil Black Jess collided on the first turn checking Lil Black Jess. Don's Noisey galloped on the heels of Aunty Chris approaching the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mr. K. Quinn, the trainer of Misty Warrior regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Misty Warrior last raced on 24th of September, 2018. Mr. Quinn stated that Misty Warrior is returning to racing after being on season.

Dyna Jenaya raced wide in the back straight. Paid Too Much, Serendipity Girl, Jack Skywalker and Agent Que collided approaching the first turn checking Paid Too Much, Serendipity Girl, Jack Skywalker and Misty Warrior. Agent Que checked off Yeppy Allen on the first turn. Dyna Jenaya and Serendipity Girl raced wide in the home straight.

A pre race sample was taken from Quick Transition.

Cosmic Brew and Barcia Houndini were slow to begin.

Cosmic Brew galloped on the heels of Quick Transition on the first turn severely checking Cosmic Brew and Quick Transition. Miss Cotton Sox and Quick Transition collided on the home turn. Cruising Betty and First Resonder collided approaching the winning post. Miss Cotton Sox tired over the concluding stages.

Miss Cotton Sox was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a injury to the right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Quick Transition was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Stewards spoke to Mr. J. Formosa, the handler of Flash Apollo regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Flash Apollo last raced on the 18th of September, 2018. Mr. Formosa stated that Flash Apollo is returning to racing from a sesamoid injury.  

Minnie Ha Ha was a late scratching at 11.19AM on the advice of the Club’s Veterinary Surgeon due to an infection to the greyhound's left hind toe. A 5 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Crime Minister upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Flash Apollo was slow to begin.

Crime Minister and Leeroy Rox collided approaching the first turn checking Leeroy Rox. Dashing Dino and Flash Apollo collided on the first turn checking Flash Apollo. Dontron crossed to the rail approaching the home turn checking Dorset Dasha and Crime Minister. Crime Minister tired in the home straight. Crime Minister fell entering the catching pen.

Crime Minister was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right tarsal sprain, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Mickie Raven upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Fantastic Bear checked off King Of Merrimu soon after the start. Midnight Mick, Mickie Raven, Hollywood Donuts and Lady Freckles collided soon after the start checking Midnight Mick, Mickie Raven, Lady Freckles and Fantastic Bear.

You Aussie, Haddi Bale and Slipaway Bolt collided soon after the start. Lonesome Spring checked off Prince Mark soon after the start. Quando Quando checked off You Aussie on the first turn checking Lireva and Ball Bearing.

Lonesome Spring, who tailed off, was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle and a right tarsal sprain, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre race sample was taken from Dashing Diamond.

Go Didda Go was slow to begin.

Lacarabine, Fernando's Flare, Speedy Ryder and Micky Rads collided soon after the start checking Micky Rads, Speedy Ryder and Fernanso's Flare. Lacarabine checked off Dashing Diamond approaching the first turn. Micky Rads and Speedy Ryder collided on the first turn checking Micky Rads.

Micky Rads was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left hock, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.

The start of this race was delayed by approximately two and a half minutes owing to the greyhounds arriving late to the starting boxes. Stewards spoke to parade steward Mr. P. Hayley and advised him to be more aware regarding start times. 

A pre race sample was taken from Angel Of Glory.

Galo's Best, Barked Off and Proven Les were quick to begin.

Regal Memphis raced wide on the home turn and again in the home straight.

A sample was taken from Proven Les - the winner of the event.

Winlock Intent, Carson County and Cibulkova were slow to begin.

Through checked off Pinciotti approaching the first turn. Winlock Intent and Carson County collided approaching the first turn checking Carson County. Jiggy's Luck and Dyna Winkler collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Pinciotti and Kiowa Kaema collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Through and Pinciotti collided approaching the home turn. 

Carson County was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the right monkey muscle, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

A sample was taken from Cibulkova - the winner of the event.

A pre race sample was taken from Rocky Rooster.

Sunningdale, Pop Do It and Super Stoked collided soon after the start checking Pop Do It. Rocky Rooster checked off Seabrook Indi approaching the first turn. Rocky Rooster and Blue Magnum collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Rocky Rooster tired over the concluding stages.

Rocky Rooster was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained an injury to the left quadriceps and a sprain to the right tarsal, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

A pre-race sample was taken from Tuiaki Dora upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Mr K Kelly, trainer of Dorothy Dawn declared a new weight of 28.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Dorothy Dawn last raced at 26.2kgs and is returning to racing after a let up.

Texas Blaze was slow to begin.

Pyrenees Acclaim, Belena Bold and Solar On collided soon after the start checking Belena Bold and Solar On. Tuiaki Dora and Zenstar collided approaching the first turn checking Tuiaki Dora, Zenstar, Belena Bold and Solar On. Dorothy Dawn, Zenstar and Tuiaki Dora collided on the first turn checking Dorothy Dawn, Zenstar, Tuiaki Dora, Texas Blaze and Solar On.

Meeting Comments:

Mr. G. Gledhill was issued a severe reprimand pursuant to GAR 86(o) after he negligently presented a greyhound at kenneling which was not required to race. In assessing penatly, Stewards took into consideration that Mr. Gledhill had presented all his other greyhounds engaged in today's meeting correctly.

Satisfactory Trial Results (GAR 77A) - Stewards spoke to Mr L Green, the trainer of Double Cross regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Double Cross last raced on 13th June 2018. Mr Green stated that the greyhound had changed kennels. Pursuant to GAR 77A, Double Cross trialled over the 390m from box 7, weight 34.8kgs, the greyhound was placed 5th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 18L. Double Cross was Not Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Rail Remover trialled over the 390m from box 1, weight 35.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 3L. Rail Remover was Cleared.

Satisfactory Trial Results - She's Got Bounce trialled over the 390m from box 5, weight 27.0kgs, the greyhound was placed 2nd in a field of 5. The time of the trial was 23.25, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1L. She's Got Bounce was Not Cleared.
