Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Racing Pulse upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.
Cullquin Darrio and Yakima were slow to begin.
Zipping Murphy turned its head inwards and then outwards free of interference soon after the start and in doing so failed to pursue the lure with due commitment.
Zipping Murphy checked off Dazzling Bling soon after the start and again on the first turn. Zipping Murphy and Yakima collided entering the back straight and again in the back straight.
Zipping Murphy was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.
Stewards spoke to Mrs L. Cockerell, the representative of the greyhound Zipping Murphy regarding the greyhounds racing manners soon after the start. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Zipping Murphy with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mrs Cockerell pleaded guilty to the charge, Zipping Murphy was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Meadows and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
A post-race sample was taken from Toy's Son - winner of the event.
