A pre race sample was taken from Articus.
Rayza's Gadget, Bera Na Liva and Murrabit Benny were slow to begin.
Rayza's Gadget and Bera Na Liva collided soon after the start. Fast Trapper and Crackerjack Daza collided approaching the first turn. Crackerjack Daza checked off Fast Trapper on the first turn. Rayza's Gadget and Fast Trapper collided approaching the home turn checking Crackerjack Daza, Fast Trapper, Murrabit Benny and Pillar Creek. Murrabit Benny and Fast Trapper collided on the home turn. Billy Deeds raced wide in the home straight.
Articus collapsed and seizured in the catching pen, Articus was vetted and diagnosed as seizure a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr. Aaron Setford,the trainer of Articus and advised him that acting in accordance with GAR 74, Articus must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
