This meeting is deemed Hot Weather Affected. At the close of kennelling the outside temperature was 29 degrees and the kennel temperature was 17.4 degrees.

Due to an expansion of the rail caused by the heat, Stewards permitted the previous used  lure carriage to be used at tonights meeting. 

Stewards opened an inquiry with licenced trainer Mr. Aaron Setford regarding his behaviour in the kennelling area prior to completion of kennelling. The inquiry was adjounrned to a date to be fixed.

Supplementary Report: Stewards finalised an inquiry into the behaviour of Mr Setford on Monday 10 December 2018. After considering the evidence, the Stewards issued an official warning to Mr Setford for his actions.

Yolk's Boy and Zipping Chance were slow to begin.

Zipping Duncan and Hawkie collided approaching the first turn. Moraine Coco and Cee Magic collided on the first turn. Mandy's Magic checked off Zipping Duncan on the first turn checking Hawkie and Yolk's Boy.

Thomeli Gal and My Ollie were quick to begin. Foxzami Thriller was slow to begin.

Our Menace galloped on the heels of Kantilla approaching the first turn. Cee Bay contacted the running rail approaching the first turn, lost ground and  raced wide. Foxzami Thriller raced wide on the first turn. Our Menace and Kantilla collided on the first turn, Kantilla raced wide as a result.

Kantilla was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Red King Prince and Beaut Deeds collided soon after the start. Zipping Winnie and Unwanted Lady collided approaching the first turn. Red King Prince and Pingin' Bee collided approaching the first turn. Unwanted Lady checked off Cooper Dan approaching the home turn. Zoehanna Diva, Red King Prince and Pingin' Bee collided approaching the home turn severely checking Red King Prince. Zoehanna Diva and Pingin' Bee collided several times on the home turn.

Red King Prince was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a metatarsal fracture, a 90 day stand down period was imposed.

Thomeli Monster, Rampant Munster and Ledgerwood Libby collided approaching the first turn checking Ledgerwood Libby and Rampant Munster. Rampant Munster and Ledgerwood Libby collided approaching the home turn. Ledgerwood Libby and Midnight Mick collided entering the home straight. Lektra Brandy and She's Fabtastic collided on the first turn checking She's Fabtastic. Springvale Alysa raced wide on the home turn. Lektra Viki checked off Lucille Dior in the home straight and collided with Ah Sugar Sugar. Lektra Brandy and Springvale Alysa collided approaching the winning post.

Rayza's Gadget, Bera Na Liva and Murrabit Benny were slow to begin.

Articus collapsed and seizured in the catching pen, Articus was vetted and diagnosed as seizure a 14 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. Aaron Setford,the trainer of Articus and advised him that acting in accordance with GAR 74,  Articus must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dyna Jacinta was a late scratching at 10.03 due to illness.(GAR 23).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards will require a veterinary certificate before any future nomination will be accepted. 

Quara's Flick was quick to begin. Cloona Lass was slow to begin.

Miracles Happen and Sneak Preview collided soon after the start. Secret Message raced wide approaching the first turn. Miracles Happen raced wide on the home turn. Secret Message raced wide in the home straight.

Icarus was slow to begin. Ballet Creek was very slow to begin (2L).

Bomber Creek and Dat Dat Daty collided soon after the start. Major Amor and Bomber Creek collided on the first turn checking Major Amor and Icarus.

Stewards charged Mr. G. Kenna with a breach of GAR 46(2) in that he failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve the greyhound Ballet Creek  for its engagement..

Mr Kenna pleaded guilty to the charge, and was fined the sum of $100.

Wanchai Express was slow to begin.

Cosmic Creek, Fantastic Bear, and Bushman's Mate collided soon after the start checking Fantastic Bear. Wanchai Express, Cindy La Moment and Lindy Bop collided approaching the first turn checking Lindy Bop, Cindy La Moment, Bushman's Mate and Big Lebowski.

Maximum Brew was slow to begin.

Cool Number and Big Bubbles collided approaching the first turn checking Cosmic Ann. Aston Geisha crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Nitro Value and Maximum Brew. Cool Number, Big Bubbles and Xtreme Notice collided approaching the home turn. Nitro Value checked off the heels of Cool Number in the home straight.

Xtreme Purpose and Zipping Chelse collided soon after the start. Bobby Tokaam and Flying Action collided approaching the first turn checking Flying Action.

Stewards spoke to Mr A.Setford, the trainer of Rurik regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Rurik last raced on 31 August 2018. Mr Setford stated that the greyhound was resuming racing following an extended spell.

Both Brother Griff and Luna Evening stumbled at box rise.

Di Canio, Manila Kampyon and Zambora Cash collided soon after the start. Manila Kampyon checked off Zambora Cash approaching the first turn. Chasing James checked off Ringcraft on the first turn and collided with Rurik and Manila Kampyon. Brother Griff and Manila Kampyon collided approaching the home turn.

Brother Griff was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found. 

Luna Evening was vetted following the event. It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

Satisfactory Trial Results - Wilbur Deeds trialled over the 450 from box 1, weight 30.2kg, the greyhound was placed 4th in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 25.58, the greyhound was beaten a margin of 8.5 lengths. Wilbur Deeds was Cleared. 

Satisfactory Trial Results - Ledgerwood Road  trialled over the 450 from box 8,weight 28.2kg, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.The time of the trial was 25.58, the greyhound won by a margin of 7.5 lengths. Ledgerwood Road was Cleared.
