Track Curator Mr B. Mulligan advised stewards that the track was medium harrowed on 3 December 2018.

The outside temperature when kennels opened was 35 degrees, the inside kennel temperature was 18 degrees.

Due to major traffic congestion on route to the course from the West, several trainers were significantly delayed in arriving on-course. The Stewards invoked the provisions of GAR 31 (3) and extended kennelling.

Crowdza Jumpin' was slow to begin.

Black Hornet and Stari Grad collided soon after the start.  Patrick Francis, Lightning Blast and Cabin Fever collided soon after the start checking Lightning Blast and Cabin Fever. Cabin Fever and Black Hornett collided approaching the first turn checking Cabin Fever.  Stari Grad and Crowdza Jumpin' collided approaching the first turn checking Crowdza Jumpin'.  Black Hornet and Ingenious Lad collided on the first turn checking Black Hornet.  Patrick Francis and Lightning Blast collided on the first turn.  Lightning Blast and Stari Grad collided on the first turn checking Stari Grad and Crowdza Jumpin', both greyhounds raced wide as a result.  Patrick Francis and Cabin Fever collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Patrick Fever.  Lightning Fever contacted the running rail on the third turn.  Black Hornet and Cabin Fever collided in the home straight checking Cabin Fever.

Dewana Jayden and Dewana Be Sure collided soon after the start checking Dewana Be Sure.  Dewana Be Sure checked off Dex's Affair soon after the start.  Dewana Jayden checked off Jokare approaching the first turn.  Jokare and Dex's Affair collided on the first turn checking Dex's Affair and Tankalicious.  Zipping Kretch and Bold collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Jokare and Dex's Affair collided on the second turn checking Dex's Affair.  Dewana Be Sure and Dex's Affair collided in the back straight checking Dewana Be Sure.  Jokare checked off Tankalicious in the back straight checking Dex's Affair and Dewana Be Sure.  Dewana Jayden and Tankalicious collided on the third turn checking Tankalicious.  Zipping Kretch and Dewana Jayden collided approaching the home turn.  Dewana Jayden visible eased on the home turn checking Bold, Tankalicious and Dex's Affair.  Dewana Jayden and Bold collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.  

Dewana Jayden was vetted following the event.  It was reported that that there was no apparent injury found.  Mr Dewan the representative of Dewana Jayden declined a re-vet.

Stewards spoke to Mr B. Dewan, the representative of the greyhound Dewana Jayden regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dewana Jayden with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dewan pleaded guilty to the charge, Dewana Jayden was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Trainer Mr G. George requested that Panadero King be vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left front toe fracture, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Extreme Justice was quick to begin.  Sherbini was slow to begin.

Blue Shadows and Velocity Lilly collided soon after the start.  Rajasthan and Sweet Bourbski collided on the first turn checking Rajasthan.  Beckham and Extreme Justice collided entering the front straight checking Extreme Justice.  Extreme Justice checked off Sweet Bourbski approaching the third turn checking Dyna Yezza.  Beckham, Sweet Bourbski and Sherbini collided on the fifth turn checking Sweet Bourbski and Sherbini.  Dyna Yeza checked off Blue Shadows on the home turn.  Beckham and Sherbini collided on the home turn checking Sherbini.  Blue Shadows, Extreme Justice and Dyna Yezza collided entering the home straight checking all three greyhounds.  Blue Shadows and Dyna Yezza collided in the home straight checking Blue Shadows.

Dr. Mino was slow to begin.

Mepunga Pride and Destini Cavalier collided on the first turn checking Mepunga Pride, Go Seek Fernando, Pink Floyd and severely checking Destini Cavalier which fell as a result.  Water Colour and Dr. Mino collided on the first turn checking Water Colour.  Weeona Jimmy checked off Beau Gem on the second turn.  Water Colour and Pink Floyd collided entering the back straight checking Pink Floyd.  Go Seek Fernando was held up for a clear run on the third turn.  Water Colour checked off Weeona Jimmy entering the home straight.

Garick Olivander and Midnight Memphis collided soon after the start.  Sarah Smirnoff and My Victoria collided approaching the first turn checking My Victoria, Buddy Blinx and severely checking Sarah Smirnoff which fell as a result.  Midnight Memphis and Fleur Delacour collided approaching the first turn.  Palisades Park crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Midnight Memphis, Fleur Delacour and My Victoria.  Zambora Andy and Buddy Blinx collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds.  Garick Olivander and Palisades Park collided approaching the second turn checking Garick Olivander.  Midnight Memphis and Palisades Park collided on the second turn checking Palisades Park, Fleur Delacour and Garick Olivander.  Buddy Blinx checked off Fleur Delacour entering the back straight.  Palisades Park checked off Fleur Delacour in the back straight.

Sarah Smirnoff was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion to the left front paw, a 3 day stand down period was imposed.
