Zipping Kretch and Bold were slow to begin.
Dewana Jayden and Dewana Be Sure collided soon after the start checking Dewana Be Sure. Dewana Be Sure checked off Dex's Affair soon after the start. Dewana Jayden checked off Jokare approaching the first turn. Jokare and Dex's Affair collided on the first turn checking Dex's Affair and Tankalicious. Zipping Kretch and Bold collided on the first turn checking both greyhounds. Jokare and Dex's Affair collided on the second turn checking Dex's Affair. Dewana Be Sure and Dex's Affair collided in the back straight checking Dewana Be Sure. Jokare checked off Tankalicious in the back straight checking Dex's Affair and Dewana Be Sure. Dewana Jayden and Tankalicious collided on the third turn checking Tankalicious. Zipping Kretch and Dewana Jayden collided approaching the home turn. Dewana Jayden visible eased on the home turn checking Bold, Tankalicious and Dex's Affair. Dewana Jayden and Bold collided several times in the home straight checking both greyhounds.
Dewana Jayden was vetted following the event. It was reported that that there was no apparent injury found. Mr Dewan the representative of Dewana Jayden declined a re-vet.
Stewards spoke to Mr B. Dewan, the representative of the greyhound Dewana Jayden regarding the greyhounds racing manners on the home turn. Acting under GAR 69(A)(1) stewards charged Dewana Jayden with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Dewan pleaded guilty to the charge, Dewana Jayden was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sandown and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
