Steward's Report
Track Curator Mr B. Mulligan advised stewards that the track was medium harrowed on 3 December 2018.
The outside temperature when kennels opened was 35 degrees, the inside kennel temperature was 18 degrees.
Due to major traffic congestion on route to the course from the West, several trainers were significantly delayed in arriving on-course. The Stewards invoked the provisions of GAR 31 (3) and extended kennelling.
Crowdza Jumpin' was slow to begin.
Black Hornet and Stari Grad collided soon after the start. Patrick Francis, Lightning Blast and Cabin Fever collided soon after the start checking Lightning Blast and Cabin Fever. Cabin Fever and Black Hornett collided approaching the first turn checking Cabin Fever. Stari Grad and Crowdza Jumpin' collided approaching the first turn checking Crowdza Jumpin'. Black Hornet and Ingenious Lad collided on the first turn checking Black Hornet. Patrick Francis and Lightning Blast collided on the first turn. Lightning Blast and Stari Grad collided on the first turn checking Stari Grad and Crowdza Jumpin', both greyhounds raced wide as a result. Patrick Francis and Cabin Fever collided on the second turn and again entering the back straight checking Patrick Fever. Lightning Fever contacted the running rail on the third turn. Black Hornet and Cabin Fever collided in the home straight checking Cabin Fever.
