A pre-race sample was taken from Aston Midori.
Steorra was slow to begin. She's An Earn and Aston Midori collided several times approaching the first turn and again on the first turn, checking She's An Earn, Fifteen Wheeler and Dyna Khloe; severely checking Aston Midori, which fell as a result. Cash No Bounce cramped approaching the winning post.
Aston Midori was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right foreleg shoulder joint injury, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms Delaine Vigor, the trainer of the greyhound, Cash No Bounce. Acting in accordance with GAR 71 (Cramp), Stewards directed that the greyhound must perform a Satisfactory Trial before any future nomination will be accepted.
