Steward's Report
Mr Terry Reid, trainer of Lagoon Pirate declared a new weight of 32.7kg for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2). Lagoon Pirate last raced at 33.8kg.
Abuzz was quick to begin, Big Sam Marjen was slow to begin.
Lagoon Pirate and Blue Striker collided soon after the start. Burnout and Blue Striker collided on the first turn. Fernando's Flare and Lagoon Pirate collided on the first turn. Big Sam Marjen and Dyna Harpa collided on the first turn. Fernando's Flare galloped on the heels of Burnout on the first turn, checking Fernando's Flare, Burnout fell as a result. Abuzz raced verywide in the home straight.

Burnout was vetted following the event. It was reported that the greyhound sustained a scapula injury to the right fore leg and tarsal sprain injury to right hind leg, a 14 day stand down period was imposed.
