Especial Shiraz, Rockstar Jane and Slinky Inky collided soon after the start. Especial Shirz and Go Seek Heidi collided approaching the first turn. Slinky Inky, Rockstar Jane, El Grand Knocka, Fast Izzi and Zipping Monty collided approaching the first turn, checking all five greyhounds. El Grand Knocka checked off Fast Izzi entering the front straight. Fat Izzi and Zipping Monty collided entering the front straight, checking Fast Izzi. Hit The Highway checked off Go Seek Heidi on the second turn. Slinky Inky and Zipping Monty collided on the second turn, checking Zipping Monty causing El Grand Knocka and Zipping Monty to collide; El Grand Knocka raced wide as a result.
