Steward's Report
A pre-race sample was taken from Snow Renaissance.
Tiger Stripes and Chopper Juice were slow to begin.
Tiger Stripes (visibly eased in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was re–examined following race 3. Tiger Stripes was found to have a left carpal sprain. A 7 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Mr. M. Nash regarding Tiger Stripes racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Tiger Stripes was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Mr. Nash pleaded guilty to the charge. Tiger Stripes must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Chopper Juice (visibly eased and turned it's head outwards in the home straight), underwent a post–race veterinary examination and was found to have a left hamstrings injury. A 5 day stand down period was imposed. Stewards spoke to Ms. D. Knight regarding Chopper Juice’s racing manners in the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 125, Chopper Juice was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment (by reason of injury). Ms. Knight pleaded guilty to the charge. Chopper Juice must perform a Satisfactory Trial in accordance with GAR 125, and pursuant to GAR 132, before any future nomination will be accepted.
Ms. J. Green failed to appear at the kennels by the appointed time to retrieve and prepare Sisters New for racing. A warning was issued pursuant to GAR 97(2).
