Dyna Alexia was quick to begin.  Akina Error was slow to begin.  Double The Power and Yuken Pay Me collided approaching the first turn.  Double The Power checked off Manners A Miss on the first turn.  Dyna Quota, Yuken Pay Me and Ripplebrook Jess collided on the first turn checking Yuken Pay Me and Invictus Tilly.  Yuken Pay Me and Invictus Tilly collided on the home turn and again entering the home straight.  Invictus Tilly crossed to the rail approaching the winning post checking Yuken Pay Me.

A pre-race sample was unable to be obtained from Akina Moss a post race sample was subsequently taken.

It's A Date was quick to begin.  Keen Gem was slow to begin.  Dyna Eva and Invictus Coco collided soon after the start severely checking Dyna Eva; Dyna Eva collided with Akina Moss as a result.  Invictus Coco crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking It's A Date.  Keen Gem tired in the home straight.

Keen Gem was vetted and after being re-vetted following event 5,  it was reported that the greyhound suffered diarrhoea during the event.  A 3 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. P. Burke, the trainer of Goldenpaw Lad regarding the length of time the greyhound has had  between races.  Goldenpaw Lad last raced on 24th April, 2018.  Mr. Burke stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a change of kennels.

Mr. P. Burke, trainer of Goldenpaw Lad declared a new weight of 31.4kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Goldenpaw Lad last raced at 30.2kgs.

Mr. D. Despard, the trainer of Our Rocket declared a new weight of 34.1kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Our Rocket last raced at 33.0kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Almani Jet.

Akina Daisy was slow to begin.  Macalister Mac, Goldenpaw Lad and Lucy Gem collided approaching the first turn checking Goldenpaw Lad.  Velocity Alaina crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Lucy Gem.  Macalister Mac and Our Rocket collided on the first turn checking Goldenpaw Lad.  Our Rocket and Lucy Gem collided several times approaching the home turn checking both greyhounds and causing Our Rocket to contact the running rail.

Our Rocket was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no apparent injury found.

A pre-race sample was taken from Spritely Mac.

Sneak Preview, Spritely Mac and Gene Man collided approaching the first turn.  Sneak Preview crossed in on the first turn and collided with Daisy Me Diggin' checking Spritely Mac, causing Gene Man to fall; Valley Reaper was checked as a result.  Daisy Me Diggin' and Sneak Preview collided approaching the home turn checking Daisy Me Diggin'.

Gene Man was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a right calf muscle injury, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Ms. M. Payne, the trainer of Zipping Hogan regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races.  Zipping Hogan last raced on 22nd May, 2018.  Ms. Payne stated that the greyhound was returning to racing after a fractured right hind toe.

Ms. M. Payne, trainer of Zipping Hogan declared a new weight of 37.8kgs for the greyhound in accordance with GAR 39(2).  Zipping Hogan last raced at 36.2kgs.

A pre-race sample was taken from Kukudio.

Scooby Scooby Do, Kukudio and Crossfire Icon collided soon after the start.  Zipping Hogan and Pinky Tuscadero collided soon after the start checking Pinky Tuscadero.  Owlette crossed to the rail on the first turn checking Ima Ghost Buster, Doble Estandar and Crossfire Icon.  Scooby Scooby Do and Crossfire Icon collided on the first turn.

Dyna Winter was quick to begin.  Lakeview Maisey and Dyna Winkler collided on the first turn checking Lakeview Maisey.  Dyna Winkler and Macalister Tiger collided on the home turn.  Flash Frankie and Macalister Tiger collided entering the home straight.  Lakeview Maisey raced wide on the home turn and for the remainder of the event.  Dyna Winter tired over the concluding stages of the event.

A pre-race sample was taken from Bloke's Advice upon arrival at the course, prior to kennelling.

Bloke's Advice went up with the lids at boxrise.  Freak Unleashed was slow to begin.  Crash Reality and Lightning Boxy collided approaching the first turn checking Lightning Boxy.  Bloke's Advice and Crash Reality collided on the first turn checking Crash Reality.  Lightning Boxy and Freak Unleashed collided on the first turn checking Lightning Boxy.  Crash Reality and Lady Spur collided approaching the home turn. Lady Spur marred Crash Reality on the home turn causing both greyhounds to race wide and lose ground.  Lady Spur marred Crash Reality approaching the winning post.

Lady Spur was vetted and re-vetted after race 9, at the request of the trainer.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a left hind flexor tendon injury and sand present in both eye sockets, a 10 day stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. G. Condon, the representative of the greyhound Lady Spur regarding the greyhound's racing manners on the home turn and approaching the winning post.  Acting under GAR 69(1) Stewards charged Lady Spur with marring.  Mr. Condon pleaded not guilty to the charge, Lady Spur was found guilty and suspended for 28 days at Sale and it was directed that the greyhound perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

Dobre and Fourth Dimention were slow to begin.  Mars Rising and Dyna Alia collided on the first turn checking Dyna Alia.  Dobre and Fourth Dimention collided approaching the second turn checking Fourth Dimention.  Doc's Reward and Zipping Hawk collided on the home turn.  Dobre checked off Loaded on the home turn.

Beast was slow to begin.  Akina Harley was very slow to begin (5 lengths). Krypto Jam checked off Croucher approaching the first turn.  Pancake crossed to the rail on the first turn and collided with Croucher severely checking Krypto Jam, Woodleigh Sal and Potere.  Akina Harley and Woodleigh Sal collided on the first turn checking Woodleigh Sal.  Pancake checked off Beast on the home turn.  Krypto Jam and Croucher collided approaching the winning post.

Rare Gem was slow to begin.  Rickett's Point and Shine The Weapon collided approaching the first turn.  Rickett's Point checked off Invictus Clive approaching the first turn.  Evelyn Allen, Sopha Gem and Rare Gem collided on the first turn severely checking Sopha Gem.  Rickett's Point and Bill Heeny collided on the home turn

Aston Hinkley and Rhyan's Return were quick to begin.  Aston Hinkley, Merchant Prince and Belleperi Miss collided soon after the start.  Merchant Prince checked off Mother Monster on the first turn checking Nitro Hook, Belleperi Miss and Cataleya.  Rhyan's Return and Mother Monster collided on the home turn.

Dargo Dasher, Sly Shiraz and Wolfie's Sook were quick to begin.  Secret Love was slow to begin.  Lancome Lady, Shining Opal, Secret Love and Tram Tracker collided approaching the first turn checking Tram Tracker and Supa Shalala.  Lancome Lady, Shining Opal and Secret Love collided on the first turn severely checking Shining Opal.  Sly Shiraz checked off Wolfie's Sook on the first turn.  Secret Love and Lancome Lady collided approaching the home turn checking Secret Love; Secret Love collided with Supa Shalala as a result.  Shining Opal raced wide in the home straight.

MEETING COMMENTS:

Satisfactory Trial Results - Fifty Dollar trialled over the 440m from box 8, weight 32.3kgs, the greyhound was placed 1st in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 25.61, the greyhound won by a margin of 8.50 lengths.  Fifty Dollar was Cleared.
