MacLeod was quick to begin.  Got Some Zip, Bela Natali and Aeroplane Bella were slow to begin.  Temps Lilo and Got Some Zip collided approaching the first turn checking Got Some Zip.  Bela Natali and Aeroplane Bella collided approaching the first turn checking both greyhounds, Aeroplane Bella stumbled and lost ground as a result.  Got Some Zip and Temps Lilo collided in the home straight.

Lil Miss Willow was a late scratching at 2:26pm due to weight variation (GAR 39). A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mrs. S. Whitford was fined the sum of $100.

A pre-race sample was taken from Sharon's Gold upon arrival on course, prior to kennelling.

Exceed The Speed was slow to begin.  Iona Roby and Cosmic Lucy collided soon after the start checking Cosmic Lucy and Exceed The Speed.  Doc Meaney, Maniac Matilda and Sharon's Gold collided on the first turn checking Doc Meaney and Exceed The Speed.  Iona Roby and Cosmic Lucy collided entering the back straight.  Sharon's Gold and Delta's Tiara collided entering the back straight.  Doc Meaney was checked off Exceed The Speed approaching the second turn.  Iona Roby raced wide on the second turn and collided with Cosmic Lucy.  Exceed The Speed was checked off Manic Matilda on the second turn.  Maniac Matilda and Cosmic Lucy collided on the home turn.

Stewards spoke to Mrs. V. Sultana, the trainer of Hurricane Craig regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Hurricane Craig last raced on 24 May, 2018 and is returning to racing following a left hind webbing injury.

Zade's Magic was quick to begin.  Hot Spuds was slow to begin.  That Will Be was checked off Mac Daddy approaching the first turn.  All In and Mac Daddy collided on the first turn checking That Will Be and severely checking Mac Daddy, Farfalla Nera and Hot Spuds, Farfalla Nera stumbled and lost considerable ground, All In fell as a result.

All In was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a fracture or major ligament damage to the right stifle, a 60 day stand down period was imposed.

Farfalla Nera was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained abrasions to both hind feet and left foreleg, no stand down period was imposed.

Croucher was quick to begin.  Terrah Fire was slow to begin.  Run Mon Manny and Nostalgia collided soon after the start checking Nostalgia.  Nostalgia galloped on Run Mon Manny on the first turn checking Terrah Fire.  Terrah Fire was checked off Run Mon Manny on the second turn.  Mt. View Gift and Eden Monaro collided on the second turn severely checking Mt. View Gift.

Run Mon Manny was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Secret Of Mine was vetted following the event.  It was reported that there was no injury apparent.

Stewards issued a warning to Mr. R. Bean the trainer of Secret Of Mine regarding the greyhound's racing manners in the home straight.

Merchant Prince and Elswyk Max were quick to begin.  Dr. Dedra was slow to begin.  Adonis Rose, Cookie Rose and Dr. Annie collided soon after the start.  Dr. Dedra was checked off Ebb on the first turn.  Adonis Rose and Dr. Annie collided on the second turn checking Dr. Annie.

Cookie Rose was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained a split webbing on the right hind foot, a 21 day stand down period was imposed.

Shooters Ali and Lethal Lomari were slow to begin.  Tarika Tara and Crime Scene collided soon after the start checking Crime Scene.  Crime Scene and Voluptuous Ruby collided approching the first turn.  Valley Reaper and Absolute Breeze collided on the first turn and again on the second turn.  Lethal Lomar and Absolute Breeze collided on the home turn.

Crime Scene was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained injured right and left back muscles, a 7 day stand down period was imposed.

The Club Veterinary Surgeon examined Gone Early and no illness was detected. The greyhound was a late scratching at 2:04pm due to weight variation (GAR 39).  A 10 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr. C. Fulford was fined the sum of $100.

Why Not Liv was a late scratching at 2:40pm due to non arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Trainer Mr G. Jennings was fined the sum of $100.

Primrose Diamond and Dr. Watson were slow to begin.  Primrose Diamond was checked off Dr. Toretto on the first turn.

Dr. Bodacious was vetted following the event.  It was reported that the greyhound sustained an abrasion at the toenail on the left hind toe, no stand down period was imposed.

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. McMahon the representative for Dr. Bodacious.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound had recently returned to racing and lacked race fitness.  Stewards noted the explanation and took no further action.

Reatily Shintaro was quick to begin.  Mister Heeney, Jumbo Bale and Jungle Jacqui collided on the first turn.  Reatily Shintaro and Mizuki collided on the first turn checking Mizuki and Jumbo Bale.  Mister Heeney and Mizuki collided on the second turn checking Mizuki.

Acting on a telephone call with Mrs D. Dean, Stewards withdrew Harper's Hand and Blunderbuss a 2:21pm due to car trouble. A 28 day stand down period was imposed to both greyhounds. Stewards will lift the applied penalties if the appropriate paperwork is received.

Tolga and Long Live Sid were slow to begin.  Long Live Sid contacted the running rail on the second turn severely checking Long Live Sid.

Stewards spoke to Mr. S. Mallia, the trainer of Koitsenko regarding the length of time the greyhound has had between races. Koitsenko last raced on 16 May, 2018 and is returning to racing following a change of kennel. 

Zippy Zuri was quick to begin.  Alonso Power and Koitsenko were slow to begin.  Alonso Power was checked off Zippy Zuri on the first turn.  Voluptuous Dot raced wide on the first turn.  Fairytale Ending and Koitsenko collided approaching the home turn.  Alonso Power and Royal Bruno collided on the home turn.

Shogun Sammy and Simbarea were quick to begin.  Boof's Banjo, Emilia Mel and Marko Bale were slow to begin.  Simbarea crossed to the rail approaching the first turn checking Shogun Sammy and Jiggy's Luck.  Jiggy's Luck, Shogun Sammy and Emilia Mel collided on the first turn checking all three greyhounds.  Boof's Banjo raced wide on the first turn checking Marko Bale.  Boof's Banjo was checked off Marko Bale on the home turn.

Takaho Tiger and Fallen Star were slow to begin.  Five Lights was checked off Magic Euphoria on the first turn checking Takaho Tiger and Fallen Star.  Bandit Brad and Chase On Case collided on the first turn checking Chase on Case causing Takaho Tiger and Fallen Star to race wide.

Satisfactory trial results (GAR 77A):-

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. McMahon the representative for Nitro Fantasy regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Nitro Fantasy last raced on 19/12/16. Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change of kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Nitro Fantasy trialled over 315 metres from box 6, weight 29.1kg, the greyhound was placed second in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.75 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of .75 lengths.  Nitro Fantasy was not cleared

Stewards spoke to Mr. M. McMahon the representative for Big Papa regarding the length of time since the greyhound last raced.  Big Papa last raced on 02/10/17.  Mr. McMahon stated that the greyhound was returning to racing following a change in kennel.  Pursuant to GAR 77A Big Papa trialled over 315 metres from box 8, weight 37.3kg, the greyhound was placed first in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.75 secs, the greyhound won by a margin of .75 lengths.  Big Papa was cleared. 

Satisfactory trial result:-

Dr. Gidget trialled over 315 metres from box 1, weight 27.9kg, the greyhound was placed third in a field of 4.  The time of the trial was 18.75 secs, the greyhound was beaten by a margin of 1.5 lengths.  Dr. Gidget was cleared.
