Franki Jay visibly turned its head and collided with Ivey's Affair approaching the winning post. 

Franki Jay underwent a post-race veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported. 

Stewards spoke to Mr J. Moody, the handler and Mr D. Reid, the trainer of Franki Jay regarding the greyhounds racing manners approaching the winning post. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(A)(1) Franki Jay was charged with failing to pursue the lure with due commitment. Mr Moody pleaded guilty to the charge, Franki Jay is suspended for 28 days at Cranbourne and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(A)(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.

The following greyhounds performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial – The trial took place over 311m with five required to trial. The winning time of trial was 18.20:

Lady Ceecee finished 2nd, Perfect Player finished 1st and Urana Hope finished 4th.

Lady Ceecee – Was stood down from racing at Cranbourne for Failure To Chase. Weighing 27.5kgs and beginning from box 1 beaten by 4L. Lady Ceecee has been cleared to race at all tracks.

Perfect Player – The greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a change of kennels. Weighing 33.1kgs and beginning from box 2 winning by 4L. Perfect Player has been cleared to race.

Urana Hope – Was stood down from racing at Cranbourne for Unsatisfacory Performance. Weighing 25.1kgs and beginning from box 8 beaten by 9.25L (Checked on the home turn). Urana Hope has been cleared to race at all tracks.
