Ruby's Rosa and Don't Doubt Net were slow to begin.
Northern Moon and Ruth's Girl collided soon after the start. Don't Doubt Net and Yenderra Bazza collided soon after the start. Go Shirvo Go crossed to the outside soon after the start and collided with Don't Doubt Net and Yenderra Bazza. Go Shirvo Go and Yenderra Bazza collided several times from the 250m mark to the 150m mark checking Yenderra Bazza. Don't Doubt Net lost ground throughout the event.
Don't Doubt Net underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have a spike wound and bruising to the right metacarpal. A 7 day stand down period was imposed.
Stewards spoke to Mr Ian Anderson, the Trainer of Don't Doubt Net regarding its performance in this event. Stewards deemed the performance unsatisfactory, acting in accordance with GAR 71, Don't Doubt Net must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks) before any future nomination will be accepted.
