Steward's Report
Miss Pepperoni – Late scratching at 10:30am due to non-arrival (GAR 31). A 28 day stand down period was imposed. Mr Gordon Edwards informed Stewards that he had a vehicle breakdown this morning. Stewards have advised Mr Edwards that evidence of the breakdown will need to be submitted, to the satisfaction of Stewards, within 48 hours of the occurrence that caused the non-arrival. The matter will be re-evaluated upon receipt of this evidence.
A pre-race sample was taken from Dargo Dasher.
Pacific Secret and Black Eclipse collided at the 250m mark. Wackadooka crossed to the rail at the 50m mark checking Black Eclipse and Pacific Secret.
Meeting Comments:
Due to on course internet issues there was no split photo available for the race meeting. The split time and first split placing were taken using the Finish Lynx timer and Top Cat vision. There are no further split placings/margins recorded for this meeting.
Satisfactory Trials
Zipping Alvin – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to a stopper bone injury. Weighing 28.4kg and beginning from box 1, Zipping Alvin completed the 300m trial distance in a time of 17.72. Zipping Alvin placed 4th in a field of 4 of starters beaten by 7.75 lengths. Zipping Alvin has not been cleared to race. Stewards were not satisfied with the greyhound's performance from the 150m mark.
Zipping Alvin underwent a post trial veterinary examination - no apparent injury was reported.
Major Nippa – Performed a Stewards Satisfactory Trial as the greyhound has not competed in an event for in excess of six months due to injuries to both back muscles and a monkey muscle. Weighing 32.8kg and beginning from box 7, Major Nippa completed the 300m trial distance in a time of 17.18. Major Nippa placed 1st in a field of 4 starters winning by 2 lengths. Major Nippa has been cleared to race.
Supplementary Report 25/6/19 - The 28 day stand down was removed from Miss Pepperoni following production of a vehicle break down certificate.
