Steward's Report
Turnaround Tina, Maeve and Hounding Me were slow to begin.
Bright Blue brushed the running rail on the first turn checking Bright Blue and Black Zebrano. Turnaround Tina checked off Bright Blue on the first turn checking Hounding Me, severeley checking Black Zebrano and Maeve. Maeve fell as a result. Treasure's Lad checked off Captain Jake approaching the home turn. Black Zebrano and Hounding Me collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Rapidash raced wide in the home straight.
Maeve underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abraisions to the left hind leg and spike wounds to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.
A post-race sample was taken from Captain Jake - the winner of the event.
