Treasure's Lad checked off Captain Jake approaching the home turn. Black Zebrano and Hounding Me collided entering the home straight, checking both greyhounds. Rapidash raced wide in the home straight.

Maeve underwent a post-race veterinary examination and was found to have abraisions to the left hind leg and spike wounds to the left foreleg. No stand down period was imposed.

Quest For Glory and Dyna Quail collided soon after the start. Rollin' With It crossed to the rails on the first turn. Sky Wesley checked off Dyna Quail on the first turn checking Quest For Glory. Sky Wesley and Big Deal collided approaching the home turn checking Sky Wesley. Sky Wesley checked off Big Deal approaching the home turn.

Galaxy Blaster was slow to begin.

Lektra Rainbow and Ophira Bale collided on the first turn checking Lektra Rainbow, Foxy Molly, Half A Minya and Come On Eleanor. Half A Minya and Come On Eleanor collided approaching the home turn checking Come On Eleanor. Ophira Bale turned its head and made muzzle contact with Fend Off entering the home straight, checking Fend Off and Lektra Rainbow. Ophira Bale turned its head and shifted inwards approaching the winning post, colliding with Kissable as a result.

Stewards spoke to Mr S. Coulson, the handler of Ophira Bale, regarding the greyhound's racing manners entering the home straight. Acting under the provisions of GAR 69(1) Ophira Bale was charged with marring. Mr Coulson pleaded guilty to the charge, Ophira Bale is suspended for 28 days at Ballarat and must perform a Satisfactory Trial (all tracks), pursuant to GAR 69(2)(a) before any future nomination will be accepted.
